The best birthday present I got and it's from me. Funny, ain't it? Oh, and I heart Shazunah to bits and pieces for not attending Floorplay due to some Sports Captain Convention as it gave me and Liwei seats. Hurrah! We had the best seats, but sadly, it wasn't super close to the stage. I was smack in the middle though :D &it was a pity I wasn't near the aisle as those by the aisle got to dance with the fabuloso dancers.


I met my Esplanade Buddy(haaha), at Bedok and we trained to City Hall. Ms Soh beckoned us over and we chatted about random stuff. Haaha, &she ordered us to call her AUNTY. So, parted ways at City Hall. Liwei and I brisked through Citylink and bought some goodies before heading to Esplanade. I swear, I was so excited and jittery and nervous and ohmygorgasmic. Seated in the concert hall, I felt in an extravagant mood, purchased Burn The Floor programmes at 25 a pop. It's dollars, not cents.

Haaha, sue me. The man selling the programmes sounded oh-so-unprofessional. Hello! You're in Esplanade, not in the National Stadium selling peanuts.

The show started with a BANG! This Liza Minelli look-alike started flirting with this Chinese guy and hugged him tightlt, &his girl was right there :D Then she went to an ahpek seated at the first row and proceeded to let him kiss her form the hands to her cheek. OhmyEWW. Then, she moved on to this Italian-ish guy who turned out to be her partner. IT WAS AWESOME, i tell you.

The dancers started coming out, one by one, appearing ard us and dancing their way up the stage. The first item, The Sama, with the male singer singing Magalenha was superbly sexy. Ohmy, eye candy everywhere. The female dancers were so hot, sexy and on fire in their dresses with tassels sashaying everywhere. The males were buff, fit, sizzling and practically half-naked the entire time. I so wished I were them. I won't be choosy, I'll take the least hot. And we all know they're still hot. Haaha, right. I soo LOVED Harlem Nights. The guys donned in candy-coloured suits and their partners in matching candy-hued dresses, it was a wonderful display of art :D

OH LIWEI! Green haired woman's partner is sizzling too :D I tell you, the female singer, Rebecca Verrier, was awesome. Her powerhouse vocals were so ahmazing. &when she sand Tainted Love for the 2AM segment, I was mesmerized. I couldn't help but the dancers were so beautiful, all scantily-clad. The picture above is part of the 2AM segment. The singer was WOWWOW. The dance was just ohmyPCDbutwaybetterthanPCD. The segment with Jessica Raffa, was gorgeez. She was blindfolded and led through the dance floor by like 8 beefy/hunky/delicious men. She's the one in the picture with Mohawk-man :D

The finale was cheesily awesome. "Turn the beat around", sung by the 2 singers, was cheesy but HEY, they made it work! The cast worked their moves down the aisle and some lucky Singaporeans(hmmph!) got to dance with the sizzling hot dancers. Saturday NIght Fever steps never looked so inviting.

I gave the standing ovation that they totally deserved. Singaporeans are like totally lazy cos they just sit and clap. I mean, I know this is Esplanade, but HELLO!, they made us go crazy over the dance moves and all oyu can do is sit and clap? Haaha, right. The videos on Youtube taken form American and Australian concerts were soo much better as the crowd was wonderful, I tell you. Anyhoo, I screamed my lungs out when they took a bow :D Of course, people stared. Haaha. So, when I got out of the concert hall, FOUR DANCERS AND THE FEMALE SINGER WERE OUTSIDE!

I queued up for autographs while Liwei bought the soundtrack. I accompanied her to the loo and we went back to see if the queue was shorter.

So, she took out her album and I took out my camera. We were the 2nd last people so we took a group shot :D OMG, I'M SO DEVELOPING THE PICTURES AND FRAMING IT :D:D:D
Then when we were about to leave, the last woman to get autographs said that it was her birthday and they sang for her a song! NOFAIR! U\I was sooo tempted to go back and say "HEY, it's my birthday too!" but decided against it. Zamoo is happyhappyhappy nevertheless.

Oh, don't ask what happened after that. As usual, my "celebration" was nothing but it. It was all about the woman. Haaha, at least have some basic courtesy to wish me a fucking birthday, won't you? ASSHOLE.

Anyhoo, I asked Joel when he was watching Floorplay and coincidentally, he was watching it that night! YEEHAA, so I asked him to get me the DVD and I'm meeting him on Wednesday :D EuphoriaEuphoria, Total investment I tell you :D IHEARTJOELCHEONGYINKIT ((:

Did you know, I've been browsing the programme booklet fro godknows like 20times per day? Haaha, I'm losing my mind. It's that good, I tell you. Dont' believe? Ask Liwei, Joel or HT :D Gahh. HEEHEE.
